Plain-language privacy

What we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

01 / Scope

Who we are

Rocos Studio operates rocos.studio and its UI generators, component library, and contact page. This policy describes our current online practices.

02 / Collection

Information we may collect

  • Identifiers: your email address, name or signature if included in a message, IP address, and similar network identifiers.
  • Internet activity: requested pages, timestamps, referring page, browser and device details, and error or security logs.
  • Communications: the message and attachments you choose to email us.

We do not intentionally request payment information, precise location, government identifiers, health data, biometric data, or account passwords.

03 / Sources

Where information comes from

Information comes directly from you when you email us, automatically from your browser and our servers when you visit, and from service providers that help deliver or secure the site.

04 / Use

How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the site.
  • Respond to questions, feedback, partnership proposals, and rights requests.
  • Understand errors and improve generator performance and usability.
  • Prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

05 / Disclosure

When information may be disclosed

We may disclose limited information to hosting, networking, security, and email providers that process it for us; to professional advisers; when required to protect rights, safety, or comply with law; or as part of a business transfer. We require service providers to use information only for the services they provide, where applicable.

The site may request typefaces from Google Fonts. When that happens, your browser connects to Google and may send your IP address and request details. Google handles that information under its own privacy terms.

06 / Device storage

Cookies and local storage

Rocos Studio currently does not use advertising or analytics cookies for public visitors. The light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage so the site can remember it. This preference is not sent to Rocos Studio by the theme control.

Our infrastructure may use strictly necessary technologies for security, load delivery, or administration. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser, but the site may forget your display preference.

07 / No sale

Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising. We have not done so during the preceding 12 months. Because these activities do not occur, there is currently no separate opt-out link.

Where required by applicable law, we will recognize a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide the required controls before using information for those purposes.

08 / Retention

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose described in this policy. The period depends on the nature of the information, the need to respond or maintain records, security and fraud risks, and legal requirements.

  • Email communications are kept while needed to respond and follow up, then deleted or archived under ordinary recordkeeping practices.
  • Server and security logs are kept for the limited period needed to operate, diagnose, and protect the service.
  • Your theme preference remains on your device until you clear it.

09 / Security

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not email passwords, financial details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information.

10 / Your choices

Access, correction, and deletion

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may ask to know or access the personal information we hold, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, restrict or object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

Email contact@rocos.studio with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe the request and the email address or interaction involved. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law.

11 / United States

U.S. state privacy notice

If a U.S. state privacy law applies to Rocos Studio's processing, residents may have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. California residents may also request the categories, sources, business purposes, and categories of recipients associated with their information and may limit certain uses of sensitive personal information.

During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the identifier, internet activity, and communications categories described above and disclosed them to service providers for operational purposes. We did not sell or share those categories for cross-context behavioral advertising. If applicable law provides an appeal, reply to our decision or email us with the subject “Privacy Appeal.”

12 / Canada

Canadian privacy rights

Where Canadian private-sector privacy law applies, Rocos Studio is accountable for personal information under its control. We identify purposes, limit collection and retention, use appropriate safeguards, and obtain meaningful consent where required. You may request access to or correction of your personal information and may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits.

Send questions or complaints to Privacy Contact, Rocos Studio at contact@rocos.studio. We will investigate and respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the appropriate provincial privacy authority.

13 / Transfers

International processing

Rocos Studio and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy laws in those places may differ. Where required, we use appropriate contractual, organizational, or other safeguards for cross-border processing.

14 / Children

Children's privacy

The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

15 / Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
